If someone says Varnsdorf, does it ring a bell? Not really? Well, it might be added to the list of your must-see places sooner than you expect as a world-famous capital of booty care. It’s home of a cycling tech company called Posedla [poe-sed-lah] which is taking the world of bike saddle manufacturing by storm.
Our flagship product, the Joyseat, is a custom-made 3D-printed saddle. 3D printers are quite a thing nowadays in the cycling industry, but we don’t just spout thousands of universal 3D-printed saddles. We’re the first, and so far the only ones, who can create each saddle on-demand based on the customer’s individual dimensions. If we knew at the start how arduous the path from the initial idea to the actual product would be, we would never have embarked on it. Our belief that such a comfortable, useful, and practical saddle exists and can be created pushed us onward when we were on the verge of abandoning. Every new Joyseat saddle with the name of its owner makes us feel really proud.
We use an industrial 3D printer with Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology. The upper part of the saddle has a specially developed patent-pending lattice structure printed from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This allows us to match saddle stiffness in different zones to the specific needs of each cyclist. The rails and the shell are made of carbon fiber.
